Welcome to Kelz & Co - Cape Town based Wedding Planner

Hi there - I am Lauren, founder of Kelz & Co.

Those who know me, would describe me as an extrovert by nature, a person with a huge heart for people and an admin guru! After school, I started my career as a Foundation Phase Teacher, but soon realised that nothing brought me more joy than organising, creating & executing tasks.

This is where my story of becoming an events coordinator began.  I was extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to study at The Aleit Academy. After three extremely rewarding years, I completed my 3-year Diploma in Events Coordination and walked away with the Award of Excellence.

Studying at The Aleit Academy opened many doors for me and this is where my knowledge of the industry grew. I have worked alongside some of the most well known and respected service providers in the industry. Over the last couple of years, I have worked in an NGO space as an events coordinator and this expanded my understanding of various needs/demands of a different nature.

I am really excited to work on many new projects - no task is too big or too small.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

I have a MAJOR weak spot for Chocolate Speckled Eggs!

If you had to describe yourself as a flower, what flower would you choose? I will choose a White Agrostemma, over and over again (Yes, now go and type that into Google)

Worldly things that bring me joy are: My husband (Darryn), my cat (Pluto), flowers & candles.

My favourite place in the world is: Hallstatt, Austria.

I am a Christ follower and live my life to serve Him!

I am an extrovert and love to hear peoples stories.

I absolutely love music. I love classical music, movie soundtracks & musicals.

I met my husband Darryn when I was 16 but we only started dating when I was 23. We have now been married for almost 5 years.

I absolutely love Cats! We have a beautiful Blue-Golden Siberian named Pluto. His full name is Colbaltorino Plutonium.

I am one of four children. I have a twin sister (Amy), a brother (Matthew) and an adopted brother (Eric)
